About Self Discovery Journey

This website is purely about YOU. Discovering the paths that will lead you to a life of fulfillment. A journey of uncovering who you are & who you aspire to be. Take what you need from it and leave what you don’t, we’re all on our own path!

 

The definition of ‘journey’ is ‘an act of traveling from one place to another.” When we’re stagnant, we’re not growing and while there are times when holding space for ourselves is exactly what we need, the journey of our development is paramount. Who we are today, in this one place, in this one moment,  will only be a portion of who we’ll be a year from now, or even a month from now, in another place & another moment. Through the power of growth, we have the ability to create our own paths & be the absolute best version of ourselves.

 

Aside from our physical & genetic makeup, how do we become who we are as individuals?

 

Through our decision making. Our daily habits. Who we decide to surround ourselves with. The books we read. The tv shows we watch. The stations & podcasts we choose to listen to. The conversations we have. Our ability to listen. The relationships we form & develop. The values we choose to implement. How we choose to spend our spare time....and millions of other influences. And the beauty of it all, is that WE are in complete control of who we want to be in this life!

 

It wouldn’t behoove any of us to aspire to be someone else. Our authenticity, individual talents & distinctive abilities are what set us apart & make us unique. We’ve all heard the phrase, “why reinvent the wheel?” hundreds of times in our life. And we all should wonder, “why wouldn’t I?” What’s been done has been done, innovation & intentionality are what lead us down meaningful paths of life.

 

Take what you need from this site...the tools, the breathing techniques, the reading material suggestions, the recipes, the words that are strictly my opinion...and leave what you don’t.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is simply bringing our attention to the present moment, to notice our current experience with open-hearted, non-judgmental awareness.

Yoga

Pranayama

Breathing is the core of practicing mindful observation. Observing our breath and learning to control it, is the single most important tool we can learn and preserve for ourselves.

Anxiety

Anxiety begins in the MIND and can be triggered in numerous ways. It is 100% up to us to learn how to handle these moments with poise, assertiveness, and confidence.
